Real Solutions to Dinner with Gorton’s Artisan Fillets

gortons artisa fillets

Gorton’s Fish has always been one of my go to ideas when I need a quick and easy, yet tasty dinner solution. My son is addicted to their fish sticks and would eat them daily if I allowed him to. I am a huge fan of their Skillet Crisp Tilapia (best thing ever!) and my husband would live on the grilled shrimp (bring them back to my local grocery stores please!!!) So, when I was given the chance to check out their new artisan fillets, I was thrilled. The new artisan fillets are the same Alaskan Pollock used in the typical Gorton’s Fillets. But the breading takes it to a whole new level! The new authentic artisan recipes include varieties like Lemon and Cracked Peppercorn, Roasted Garlic and Italian Herb, Southwest Tortilla, and Southern Style. The delicious spices and bread crumbs create a perfectly crisp and flavorful fish fillet. We … read more

Tomorrow is Pi Day! Lets Talk Pie!

edwards pie

Tomorrow is Pi Day! Not a hip math geek like myself? Its ok… I’ve got you covered. From Wikipedia- The number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159. Tomorrow is March 14, therefor 3.14 or Pi(π ). Yeah yeah, I know Pi might not be too interesting to you….. but PIE is right? Who doesn’t love pie? I’ll admit, I suck at baking and cooking any deserts really. So I always buy frozen pies. Our all time favorite company is Edward’s Pies (no seriously, we have been buying them for years!) So when I was given the opportunity to celebrate Pi day with Edward’s Pies, you know I jumped on it! Edward’s makes delicious pies that you simply thaw and serve. No cooking necessary.. Apparently they have now come out with a full size Cheesecake. I love cheesecake! Unfortunately, it appears it isn’t available in stores near me yet. I will … read more

Mueller’s Pot Sized Pasta Kitchen Shortcuts!

muellers pot sized pasta

I. Love. Pasta…. It is that simple. Any and every kind of pasta dish I can think of makes me happy. I recently discovered a spaghetti recipe that I absolutely love and now it is a staple on our dinner menu. My 2 year old loves it. My only issue is having to cut the noodles for him before plating them because they are just too long and make a mess! Sometimes I break them before putting them in the pot to make it easier. (not to mention they seem to fit better this way, even though I make a mess and snap pieces of noodle all over my kitchen!) I just assumed this would be part of my life for the next few years. Until I was asked to review Mueller’s new Pot Sized Pasta. Could it be true? Pasta that easily fit into my pot without having to … read more

Burgers’ Smokehouse- Perfectly Smoked Meats!

burger's smokehouse

We are a really big meat eating family. There is some form of meat at every meal. I think my husband would disown me if I ever told him I was giving up meat. So, when I was given the opportunity to review Burgers’ Smokehouse’s delicious smoked meats, I was more than excited. I must admit, I had a lot crossing my mind wondering how well meat would ship in the mail. I have always just purchased it at a local grocer. But, when my package arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It was packaged very well in a very thick styrofoam package with ice packs inside so all the meat was still nice and cold. I received 3 packages of bacon and 2 packages of ribs (one baby back and one sauced baby back rib) My mouth was watering just looking at it! Of course, we instantly changed dinner plans … read more
