Where was Mombo when I was nursing?!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Comfort and Harmony for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. When my son was born, I made the decision to breastfeed. Of course I knew I wanted a nursing pillow. Everyone had recommendations of their faves and when someone bought me a Boppy, I just assumed it was the best. It wasn't bad. It was comfortable and held up to my son but after seeing the mombo nursing pillow, I am jealous! Where was this at when I was inquiring?! The Mombo by Comfort & Harmony seems to offer so much more that I would have loved to have! I found the nursing pillow on the Babies R Us website. It is a U shaped pillow like many others but the firm2soft feature really stands out. The nursing pillow has 2 sides that are useful for different stages. When nursing, you use …
Ready for Spring with Dollar General!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. Although the "thrifty" in Thrifty Mom's Reviews and More is a play on my maiden name, I do find that I fit the shoe pretty good. I always try to find the best deals to save my family money. Boy was I in shock when I realized that we ALL need clothes now that the warm weather is approaching! Clothing can get pretty expensive and when you have four people who need it, you have to be as thrifty as you can! I was really excited when searching for deals and I stumbled across the Dollar General Apparel Book. I found that they had some really cute items for everyone in the family! Since the kids needed clothes more then my husband and I, I started looking for them. I …
Have you started your spring cleaning yet?
The warm weather is finally arriving (well, somewhat at least!) I absolutely love it! After spending the winter stuck in my house, with the windows closed avoiding the cold, I am so ready for the warm days to return! I hate winter and always end up with the blues. I really slack on cleaning and by the time spring arrives, spring cleaning is more than necessary! I am happy to report that my windows have been open, the sun has been shining through and the crisp breeze is clearing the stale air out of my house! Oddly enough, just having the windows open makes me feel better! I have slowly stated my cleaning and I did not realize how much crap a person can accumulate when they don’t leave the house! I have to keep myself and the kids occupied so we have collect everything from toys and books to …

Guest Post- Swimmies Versus The Bubble For Swimming Lessons
Anyone that is thinking about their child and swim lessons may want to look at the safety gear that is involved. There are two pieces of equipment that may be considered interchangeable, but they are very different. The Bubble The bubble is a swim aid that straps to the child’s chest and back. The floatation device itself is placed on the back of the child. This helps in keeping the child afloat when they are learning to swim. The device itself can support children up to fifty pounds and perhaps a little more. At fifty pounds the child is completely supported. Everything above fifty pounds will cause the child to sink a little bit more. Swimmies These are readily available at most department stores and vary a little from the bubble. They go on the upper arms and support the child from both sides. These can also support a …
