Holiday Gift Guide – Core Bamboo Easy Grip Rolling Pin

I don’t know about you, but when the holidays arrive I just can’t resist baking! Something about baking lots of goodies as gifts or just to enjoy for yourself through out Christmas is just irresistible. Last year I found myself in an odd predicament. I didn’t have a rolling pin and had to do things by hand (or with a glass from my cupboard) That really took the fun out of cooking! But having lost one income and adding a new mouth to feed I couldn’t make myself go out and by a new rolling pin. Especially when i saw the prices of them at my local stores. Not that they were insanely expensive, but for the price, the quality just did not seem to be worth it.

Well, the holidays are here again and this year I am prepared. I have this awesome rolling pin from Core Bamboo that is my new secret weapon! For starters, I absolutely love the colored grips! I was able to get a pretty pink one and the silicone grips really do make a difference as it does not slip around in my hand. The rolling pin is made from 100% organically grown bamboo. This is great because the material is pretty light weight, but very strong at the same time. But the best part is that bamboo is naturally anti-microbial which prevents bacteria from growing! I can rest assured that my rolling pin is not a breeding ground for germs.

This rolling pin can be used for so many purposes. It is a bit oversized compared to what I have typically used. That has its good points and bad points. I can definitely cover more ground at once using it, but I can not use it inside of any of my pans. I have to roll everything out on my countertop since it is to bog to fit into even my biggest cooking sheet. Once I got used to the size everything else just fell into place. I am very impressed with the ease of use and the overall quality of the entire product. This is one item that I can’t imagine being without this Christmas!
