If you have been following this blog, you know we had the opportunity to check out Disney On Ice: Let’s Celebrate! last night at the Richmond Coliseum. I must admit, I am 27 years old and have NEVER been to a Disney On Ice show. I didn’t want my son to know that same sadness (and I wanted to cure myself!) so we packed up and headed on our adventure. The show started at 7 PM last night and we were so excited to be there. It was more than I could have even imagined! For starters, my son is maybe the biggest Mickey Mouse fans alive. So he just sat there saying Mickey Mouse show!!! over and over. He squealed and smiled and danced more than I have ever seen him do! The magical twinkle in his eye was enough to make me ant to cry! The show was that awesome!
Disney On Ice Let’s Celebrate! is a nice compilation of celebrations throughout the year as well as throughout the world. We were able to see a variety of celebrations that included A very un-merry birthday with Alice and the Mad Hatter, A Valentine’s Day ball with many Disney princesses, Halloween with Disney villains including Cruella De Vil and Jack Skellington, Christmas with Jessie, Woody, and Buzz Light Year, and even events like the Chinese New Year, Spring time in Japan, a Hawaiian luau with Lilo and Stitch, and more! Each holiday was magical and included a variety of characters throughout. I couldn’t believe how many Disney characters we were able to see in one show! It lasted about two hours including a 15-20 minute intermission in between. I know I will absolutely be attending more Disney On Ice shows in the future and can not wait to see when the next one will be! Disney On Ice: Let’s Celebrate! will be in Richmond at the coliseum through Sunday with multiple show times to choose from. I highly recommend you go now to purchase tickets to give your child the experience of a lifetime! You will not regret it! Here are a few images to give you an idea of the magic we saw!
A Very Un-merry Birthday
There was so much more I could just go on and on with photos! But my seats weren’t in the best place to get many great photos (I waited to late to get tickets for that night so make sure you get your tickets ASAP to get great seats!) But I will end this with two quick clips of our favorite two performances last night! Once you see them, you will know this night was truly magical! I am so excited to have had the opportunity to partner with Feld Entertainment to check out Disney On Ice: Let’s Celebrate!
