When I was young, one of my favorite items was my bean bag chair. That thing last me for years until I some how snagged the edge and the little beans went everywhere! I wanted so badly to sew it up and keep it, but of course any parent knows a cheap plastic bean bag is not worth sewing and forced me to toss it. I really have wanted one since then. Of course now I’d be way to big for one of those! I stumbled across Bean Bag Chair Pros and fell in love with their selection of Bean Bag Sofas. I couldn’t imagine a bean bag big enough to hold multiple people. I wasn’t able to review one of these of course, but I was able to review the Jaxx Club Jr. Bean Bag. These are nothing like what I had when I was young!

For starters, the bean bag arrived in a rather small box. I couldn’t believe that any bean bag would fit in it! When I opened it, I found a small bag with the cover and this nice cloth bag that I later found contained the stuffing for the bean bag.

Once you open the blue bag, you come to a vacuum sealed bag of foam filling for the bag. Since it is vacuum sealed it is very compressed and able to ship much easier than what I expected. The second package contained the inside cover that holds the stuffing and the outer cover to complete the bag. I got out the instructions to see where to start.

The instructions where very easy which is definitely a plus. All I had to do was open the inside cover (the white one) and place the bag of foam stuffing inside. Once inside, I simply cut the vacuum seal bag open and emptied the filling into it. Then zipped the bag up. One really great feature is that the inside bag is childproof! Once you zip it up, you pull the zipper pull right off! No chance of a young one pulling open the zipper and getting to the contents inside.

I fluffed the foam stuffing a bit and then let it sit for about 6 hours. As it sat, the air returned to the foam and it filled out very nicely! It wasn’t super full in 6 hours so I fluffed it a bit more and let it sit overnight. (the instructions do say it could take a couple days to fully expand so be patient) The next morning it was pretty full! It has a flat base so yu can tell which way the outer cover goes on. I place it on and zipped it up. The result was lovely! Not only is the foam more comfortable, but the cover is micro-suede and so soft! Much better than those old plastic ones I was used to as a child. Of course my husband loved the colors as they closely resembled his football teams colors. HAHA

Of course, this isn’t quite big enough for an adult, hence the term Jr. But, my boys love it (and I’m still guilty of laying on it!) My toddler absolutely loved his new seat and was quick to take it over to watch his favorite cartoons. Way more comfy than his usual spot sitting in the floor to play.

He even found it as a nice place to relax when he was about ready for a nap! I would have to say this is an A+ addition to my home and I would definitely recommend it. Now I am even more curious as to how comfortable one of their sofa size ones would be!

Bean Bag Chair Pro also has two other sites they run specializing in Wall Mounted Fireplaces and Outdoor Fireplaces. How nice would it be to sit on a super comfy bean bag beside a nice wall mounted fireplace? That’s another item on my list of things to get once my house is done remodeling!
