Keep them safe with Kids Email

So, I am slowly learning that sometimes you just have to let a kid grow up. I remember when I was young, we NEVER used a computer much less had Facebook page or our own personal email accounts. I couldn’t imagine being 10 and having so much technology at my fingertips. Heck, I’m 26 now and sometimes I still can’t wrap my head around it all! One of my biggest concerns is children having email accounts. I know many people say it’s OK, or they just talk to family and close friends etc. But really, have you seen the types of emails that come into a typical email account? I mean 3 days after I had a new account I started getting random spam emails and I hadn’t even logged in but once! I would FREAK if my 10 year old opened one of those emails. So, needless to say, I am one of the “mean mom’s” who’s kids do not have computers and cell phones and all that fancy stuff. Though after this latest review, I may possibly give him a chance at an email address before long. And it WOULD be just for family and close friends! How do I know that?

I found Kids Email! This is an awesome service that is one way to seriously protect your kids. There are so many features that I have never seen on an email account and I could not believe it. You can restrict the messages coming in or going out to only people YOU put on their address list. You can filter the types of attachments and even words in messages. You can even have messages sent to a que that you have to approve before allowing to reach the child’s email. Better yet, you can have every incoming and outgoing message copied to your email and know that you have full control of everything!

Outside of the privacy and safety features, there are even more options! You can limit the time frames the child is allowed to log in. Are they grounded? You can lock them out of their account and even have it display a personal message to them if they are grounded and attempt to log in without permission! it even keeps a log of all the times your child logs in (or attempts to during times they are not allowed!) All of this guarantees that the PARENT has full control of it all! You can use as many or as few of the features as you feel you need to. Be very restrictive of younger children or a little more lenient on the older ones. Either way, Kids Email covers it all! And personally, I think this is a nice system to even have for an adult that wants a highly secure email for themselves!

And the price to this safety and peace of mind? A great deal! For only 4.95 monthly, you can have up to 4 email addresses. If you pay for a year in advance, you can get 13 months and up to 6 accounts for only 2.99 a month. AND the first month is a FREE trial period. No gimmicks, no credit or payment information needed.. if you don’t like it, you won’t have to worry about canceling! Make sure to check them out and give them a try for free! I am thinking more and more about doing this for my son. We have told him no to emails for now, but I am leaning towards doing this. Thanks
