Smells Like Spring Cleaning With Air Wick

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Lysol®, Finish®, Woolite®, and Air Wick®. The opinions and text are all mine.

Spring is officially here! I couldn’t be more excited to open my windows, let the fresh air in, and get started on spring cleaning. After sitting in the house most of the winter, there is plenty of dirt and dust I need to get out. Not to mention simply needing to air out this house. Reckitt Benckiser asked that I create content and share with you in my spring cleaning journey, so I headed to Target this week to pick up some necessities to get the job done. I got the usual cleaning products, laundry detergents, Lysol wipes and Finish Powerball Max. Afterwards, I couldn’t help but head to the aisle of air fresheners to pick out a fun scent to get me started. Air Wick to the rescue! I love these little scented oil plug-ins.

We are absolutely in love with the Fresh Waters Scented oil plug-ins. The smell is just a crisp, clean scent that is a pleasant way to bring in spring and the scent can last up to 45 days. Target is offering a great deal on Air Wick scented oils AND Air Wick Freshmatic from April 9-15. When you buy three, 5-count Air Wick scented oil packs, you will get a free gadget to go with it! You can also use the Cartwheel Coupon offer on the Target Microsite to get 5% off Air Wick Freshmatic item and 10% off any Air Wick Scented Oils products (as well as many other great coupon deals to help with spring cleaning!) April 2-29.

Now that my house smells like spring cleaning has started, I’m off to get the actual cleaning done! I thought I’d share a few tips and tricks I use along the way! For starters, I have ceiling fans in my house. I have a love-hate relationship with them. How does something that constantly spins collect so much dust?? I used to dread cleaning them because dust would end up falling all over me. I have now conquered this! Simply grab an old pillow case and slip it over each fan blade. Gently wipe each blade in one long swoop and catch the dust inside the case! It’s so easy that even my kids can help!

Once finished, simply take the case outside and flip it inside out and shake. Then toss it in the wash!

With the change in seasons, I always pack away last season’s clothing and pull out the new season’s clothing. I hate a crowded closet, so I keep clothing in vacuum sealed bags. I can easily store these under my bed and out of site until needed again. Since they have been stored for months, I instantly wash them. Woolite is a great choice to keep them looking great and ready for a new season!

I also head through the house wiping and cleaning every little crevice I can find. Trash cans, water faucets, baseboards, picture frames… everything is cleaned and wiped down. I saw a fun trick once about using a wet dryer sheet to clean faucets. Wipe them down and then dry it with a soft cloth. Leaves a beautiful streak free shine that I love! Once done, I spray everything down with Lysol to kill up to 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria that may be hanging out there. (Flu season is just getting behind us now. So, there are probably lots of germs to kill!) I love the crisp linen scent and even spray my furniture and bedding with it!

I’ll be spending the next few weeks cleaning one room at a time from top to bottom before I start enjoying all my time outdoors in the warm weather. I truly cannot wait! Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. I may bring it in cleaning, but I end it spending my days in the sun, fishing, visiting parks, and just enjoying the much needed sunshine and fresh air!

What are you looking forward to most about spring?
