Summertime fun with Marshmallow Shooters

Being a mom of two wild and crazy boys, I am always looking for something to do to keep them occupied and wear them out! It has to be something fun of course and preferably something that we can play together. Recently my step son and husband were talking about marshmallow guns and neither had ever played with one. That was kind of beyond me because we used to have a blast with them when I was younger. So, on my list of to do was getting them their first marshmallow shooters. I searched online and found Marshmallow Fun Company and hit the jackpot! Not only did they have marshmallow guns, but they HAD MARSHMALLOW GUNS!! I mean ALL kinds. They had shooters, rapid fire guns, bow and “mallows”, mazookas and even blowers! The boys were in amazement. The designs were awesome and included basic colors through pink and even camo.. everything their heart could desire. They are used to Nerf guns, but Nerf guns have nothing on shooting marshmallows at each other! The wait of receiving the guns probably seemed like a lifetime after they had seen everything on the site.

The guns came in while my step son was at his moms house. So we planned a sneak attack. There were two double barrel shotguns and my husband turned into a big kid! These hold the mini marshmallows. You simply unclip the tubes, fill them with marshmallows and clip them back down. There is no trigger, the pump action builds air in the chamber and once filled each pump will shoot marshmallows from both chambers. As we were watching TV I sat across the room with my camera ready and my step son the unknowing victim laying on the sofa. My husband is always working since we are remodeling the house so my step son didn’t think anything of him going to the back of the house. I had already loaded the guns in anticipation! My husband stood in the window area of the kitchen and start shooting towards the sofa straight at him!

As you can see he had to do a double take to see what had hit him and then he knew exactly what happened and took off running yelling I hate you (laughing the entire time!) I’m not sure who enjoyed it more the kid or the husband.. though I think the video would pinpoint the husband having the most fun with his evil squeals! Funny how something so simple could be so amazing. The instructions state not to eat the marshmallows after firing.. I’m not sure why.. but I wanted to point that out before mentioning that the baby had the most fun running through the house picking them up and shoving them in his mouth. I just had to watch the 2 “big kids” because they wanted sneak attacks on the baby and the dogs! Now that they have experienced the shooters they are excited to get more. Next on their list is one that shoots the big marshmallows. I can only imagine where this will go!

Thanks to Marshmallow Fun Company, my boys got the thrill of the marshmallow shooter and had lots of fun. (as did the kids next door since they insisted on taking them next door to play as well!) If you have never tried a marshmallow shooter before, you are missing out! Make sure to check them out online or on Facebook to learn more and to find that next item to keep your kids occupied. They have guns to fit all budgets so there is no reason to miss out!

  1. That sounds so fun! Seriously! I have potato guns that shoot bits of potato at people but these look even better! I will have to invest in some before my daughters next birthday to pull out for the kids to play with!

HAHAHA we had home made potato guns.. that shot whole potatos.. yeah, not a great idea! marshmallow shooters are a MUCH better idea since no matter how many times I say no, they still shoot the baby!
