Tomorrow is Pi Day! Not a hip math geek like myself? Its ok… I’ve got you covered. From Wikipedia- The number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159. Tomorrow is March 14, therefor 3.14 or Pi(π ). Yeah yeah, I know Pi might not be too interesting to you….. but PIE is right? Who doesn’t love pie? I’ll admit, I suck at baking and cooking any deserts really. So I always buy frozen pies. Our all time favorite company is Edward’s Pies (no seriously, we have been buying them for years!) So when I was given the opportunity to celebrate Pi day with Edward’s Pies, you know I jumped on it! Edward’s makes delicious pies that you simply thaw and serve. No cooking necessary.. Apparently they have now come out with a full size Cheesecake. I love cheesecake! Unfortunately, it appears it isn’t available in stores near me yet. I will have to keep checking the site and my local stores so I can try it the minute it shows up! If it is anything like their other pies it will be perfect! Since there is no cheesecake, we went with our tried and true favorite…. Edward’s Hershey Creme Pie!
My husband got me addicted to this a few years ago. They used to sell it at Burger King and he would buy slice after slice. Once we found it in stores, I think he felt he had found a little piece of heaven in a box! This pie has a chocolate crumb crust, layers of chocolate and vanilla creme, and topped with chocolate drizzle and chocolate chips. It comes frozen and you simply thaw to eat. Me, I prefer it pretty much frozen! The chocolate drizzle is solid ad delicious! And the consistency of the creme is similar to an ice cream cake! My husband and kids of course like it thawed. Creamy and extra sweet.. we have this at every special occasion! (My husband and son’s birthday is this weekend so couldn’t be better timing!)
Edward’s has many other tasty choices as well. The Turtle Pie is amazing if you are a caramel lover like myself! Today, I saw Reese’s Pie. That is on my list to pick up as soon as the Hershey Creme Pie is gone! You can find all their flavor options as well as locating a store near you by visiting the Edward’s website! Since tomorrow is Pi Day, you are also getting a chance to win your own Edward’s Pies! One winner will receive three coupons for free Edward’s Pies of your choice! Hope you enjoy Pi Day and make sure to have a slice of pie for me!
